OTIS - Online Teacher Information System

When the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) needed an online Internet accessible web application for its teachers they turn to Hupp Information Technologies. We worked closely with them to determine their needs and set to work creating OTIS.

OTIS is an e-Commerce enabled web application that allows teachers to review and manage their Illinois teaching credentials. OTIS now processes almost half of all certificate application fees collected by ISBE. OTIS has also processed over 6,000 teaching certificates since its creation. Our unique step by step wizard application process has been used for every one of those applications, and not once has ISBE received a support call from a teacher confused about the application process.

We have also worked with ISBE staff to reengineer their business processes. Applications that used to require over a dozen steps are now accomplished without human intervention in four steps.
